Looking for the right information on the internet can really daunting at times. If you ever had to go through this, you will understand the feeling that follows when you finally stumble across the right information. It feels like you'd won a battle.

That was how I felt when I found mine. You could find yours too, searching through the natural products archive because you see, our bodies function and react differently to different products and that was why I saw it fit to write this post.

Listed below are 7 effective supplements (I have tried 1, 2, 3 and 5) with scientific studies giving proof to their weight loss benefits.
Note. Some of them have side effects. Consult with a physician before attempting any one of them especially if you are on medication or have any health issue.

75% of new and old supplements were found and made in the United States so, I dug through the websites of the U.S National Library of Medicine for old and new research on supplements and read through journals and articles of prominent researchers and nutritionists. These supplements have been graded A or B according to their Natural standard for supporting weight loss.

1. Garcinia cambogia, Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA)

In a previous post,  I reviewed Garcinia cambogia and how it could be used for weight loss.

The different researches made use of different brands of Garcinia cambogia or HCA and as would likely occur, came out with varying results but it was observed that the higher the amount of HCA, the more significant the weight loss therefore, the recommended dosage for significant weight loss is 60% to 80% of HCA.

Tips to Gaining Weight and Muscle Mass

Surprised right?  Yep. Fitness isn't only for people seeking to loss weight,  it is basically for long lasting general well being. This post will focus on a topic frequently overlooked by fitness experts.

The body type of an individual basically depends on heredity and that is why putting on weight is just as hard for some people as losing weight. For some persons, it can take months, even years and alot of personal sacrifices like eating when you are not hungry and keeping track of your calorie intake.

There is always that stinging envy which comes from seeing a really well toned body on a friend or neighbour and no matter how much junk you suffocate your digestive system with, your body just don't get it enough to pack on the pounds. This can be really frustrating.

A friend of mine once took the advice of love ones and went on a junk eating spree in order to gain weight. Two months after, he only succeeded in getting

Why Waist Cinchers and Trimmers could Help You

The magic wand for hour glass figures babes like Jessica Alba, Tools, Kim K and several other national and international celebrities. Waist cinchers, seriously? Yes that's it. Not all 8 figures are actually what they seem.  Some are 9 and and 10 respectively and it can be really depressing when in reality these users of waist 'cinchers' pretend that it's all 'theirs' no artificials, all theirs.

Some even go as far as lying that they do vigorous ab workout everyday but that's just BS. I am not saying that there aren't any tiny waisted, really sexy coke bottle damsel out there, far from it. All I am saying is,  tell us the truth. Let us know if you are all 'natural' on your mid section or not. Give honor to that which honor is due instead of always making young ladies like us think that God might have been really biased in his distribution of tiny waists.

The next time you see an hour glass figure, ask for pictures of naked Abs or do not believe. And for those instagram chicks with excessive hips and really tiny waist? Well personally, I think just a tiny tinny bit of them are real. Some have the waist alright but just slap on fake hips and voila... He he he he. The others? well they have the hips alright but the waists? You guess right!

So dears, having a tiny waist but no hips? Sorry I can't help you here but really,  you are very lucky to have what most ladies dream and work really hard to get so maybe you should consider wearing those black padded things traders hang in lingerie shops. But if you have the naturally padded hips, waist trimmers and trainers should be your best friends.

What about Corsets? I guess you are already asking yourself what the difference between them is. Here is how best I can explain.

Corsets vs Waist Trimmers

There are terms like cinchers, trimmers, trainers and just plain corsets and they can be really difficult to tell apart.

Why You Need More Protein to Lose Weight

The benefits of protein in the human body are numerous. We know that it helps us to build our body by repairing damaged tissues and cells. Now let’s cut to the cheese, lol. Since we know that protein is good for us, how do we increase its intake? Below are listed sources of good protein.
  • Soya bean and regular beans e.g white, brown, red. Soya bean is made up of 90% protein.
  • Eggs. The whites of the egg have more protein than the yolk.

Every 4 in 5 persons overeat. 3 out this 4 refill their plates after the first heap. This is a common occurrence both for people fighting with obesity and those who aren’t. 7 out of 10 overweight persons fight with this problem but is it something that can be overcome? Read below.
I don’t know if these solutions are popular but I know it works for me and some of my clients. To avoid over eating, here are 5 things you should do;

      1. Water Filler

This is a foolproof method to eating less and in the long run, losing weight. Drink 50cl of water before meal, none during and another 50cl after. Some people usually notice that the urge to overfill their stomach reduces drastically and with time, your stomach begin to adjust to it,

12 Dos and Don’ts about healthy Weight-loss.

Dos

  1. Do break your three heavy meals into smaller portions. Eat them in small portions of six. It enables your body break down the food easier and faster and causes it to increase the rate at which it burns fat.
  2.  Do substitute snacks for fruits when you feel the urge to eat in-between meals. Try to follow the diet plan which involves snacking and avoid processed sugars like the plague. Instead substitute processed or refined sugar for natural sugars like honey and maple syrup.
  3.  Do cut down on salt. It makes you retain more water. Since water makes up 75% of the fluid in our body cutting down on sodium and starch would reduce your fluid content allowing you to lose 5 pounds of fluid.
  4.  Do develop the culture of eating vegetables and fruits. They provide essential vitamins and minerals and most importantly, they provide you with fiber which is very useful for the body but lacking in our everyday meals. Try stocking vegs and fruits in your fridge.

Losing Belly Fat – Planks

It is really a struggle when you are trying to lose the soft tissues around your stomach. No matter how much exercise you do or how much you starve yourself, it doesn’t budge. A lot of overweight persons are caught up in this vicious struggle of losing belly fat and don’t know what to do. Whether you are one of those mothers who want to lose that extra abdominal fat or you are one of those who have a natural budging stomach it is important you read this.
Abdominal fat like you have heard before is the most stubborn fat in the body. It remains even when you successfully loose most of your general body fat. This is because the skin on the abdomen has a natural way of storing fat and loosing this stubborn fat with a combination of good diet, belly toning and  cardio exercises will bring out the really attractive four large muscles just lying beneath your skin popularly known as the ’6 pacs’. Before you go all fixated on ab workouts, take note of this. You have to lose weight first! If not, you will be giving yourself a really tough time.

Counting Calories In a Typical Nigerian Food

To lose weight effectively and keep it that way, it is important to be conscious of what goes into your body each day. The fact that I know of this doesn’t stop me from eating between meals. Biscuits are my sin and I know you have one too. But seriously though, a good way of being conscious of what goes into your mouth is trying to keep track of it by writing it down in a food journal and count calories.
This may lead you to ask yourself, 'how do I know the number of calories in my food?' It’s simple, but because of lack of knowledge about the amount of energy in Nigerian dishes, it becomes difficult.
I have taken pains to do proper research on Nigerian foods and their energy content and unfortunately, most Nigerian foods are high in calories and cholesterol. But there is always a way out and it so happen that the low calorie food are less palatable. Some of our food contains good fat and they have great nutritional values. So if you are really really serious about losing weight, get counting!
