5 Tips on How to Avoid Overeating

Every 4 in 5 persons overeat. 3 out this 4 refill their plates after the first heap. This is a common occurrence both for people fighting with obesity and those who aren’t. 7 out of 10 overweight persons fight with this problem but is it something that can be overcome? Read below.
I don’t know if these solutions are popular but I know it works for me and some of my clients. To avoid over eating, here are 5 things you should do;

      1. Water Filler 

This is a foolproof method to eating less and in the long run, losing weight. Drink 50cl of water before meal, none during and another 50cl after. Some people usually notice that the urge to overfill their stomach reduces drastically and with time, your stomach begin to adjust to it,
especially when you practice;

      2.  Portion control 

Do away with the ‘bowl’ that you always serve yourself with. Get a small plate or a portion meal measure like the one in the picture below. Resist the temptation to heap it up.

If you aren’t full or even close to, go get another refill after 30 minutes. Please don’t heap. Another method you can use is;

I love smoothies. They taste great! And guess what? Children love it too. Not only are smoothies a good source of fiber, it also packs a whole lot of vitamins and as we all know, fiber helps lower our blood cholesterol and glucose level and improves digestion  and a whole lots more, in addition, it gives us this full feeling which reduces our tendency to overeat, thereby leading to weight loss. 4.    Stop Eating Before You are Full

All I can write concerning this is just stop. Just stop. Just stop! Stop eating before you start to feel your stomach expand. Those extra spoonful wouldn’t make your life better. If you are the type who just couldn’t help it. The type who could eat 10 times daily, this tips might work for you but to help your raging appetite, you can also;

5.    Drink Tea

 

Tea has a lot of health benefits and my favorite benefit of all is its ability to control your appetite and increase the rate of your metabolism. Guzzle a cup of loose leave tea after or before dinner (this will depend on your body system), a cup for snack or after a healthy snack, a cup after lunch, another for snack or after snack, and a cup after dinner.

Following these tips will in no time aid you to your weight lost goal and like I always tell my clients, consistency is the key. Persevere and endeavor to increase your daily activities through little things like a fun sport, dancing and a 30 minutes’ walk to the park every day or three times a week.
