FabSlimTox: Is it Really Safe?

I am sure you have heard the story about the lady who lost 42kg in just two months. Got me thinking. One thing though was a little disturbing about the whole thing. Was it possible for a person to lose that much weight in a short period of time? In cases where such excessive weight lost has been recorded, it always comes with a huge price which is usually in the form of a nasty side effect.
Mrs. Ifedolapo Towobola though, claimed she lost 42kg with a product known as Mexican syrup and that got me digging. Read her story here.

I wanted to get that product so bad and to also do some business with it but was it freaking expensive! I decided to find it myself, probably buy from the manufacturer but after an extensive research on Mexican syrup, I came up instead with some curious facts.
Not only did I believe that Mrs. Ife and her friends lost weight with the product like she claimed she did, I also found out that the reason it worked so well wasn’t because of the so called Mexican Syrup but it was because of a really good syrup called the Palm tree syrup.

The 3 powerful combo: Agave, Palm Tree and Hibiscus Syrup
As Mrs. Ifedolapo Towobola rightly said, Fabslimtox as she called it, comprises of three different syrups mixed together; unprocessed Mexican syrup commonly known as agave syrup, unprocessed asian palm syrup and unprocessed hibiscus syrup. Though the product isn’t branded or approved by any health ministry (many weight-loss product fall into this category), I discovered that the Fabslimtox program is a Master Cleanse detox imitation.

For those of you that are not familiar with the Master Cleanse detox or the Lemonade detox diet which was made popular by Beyonce Knowles, it involves using the following ingredients which you can get from your local store; maple syrup, Lemon and cayenne pepper. This mixture is drunk for 7 – 14 days, no solid food, according the inventor, Stanley Burroughs.

Sometimes, other syrups are used as substitute for maple syrup some of the Master Cleanse approved substitutes are corn syrup, blackstrap molasses and coconut nectar. According to the Master cleanse website, agave is not a good alternative. Not only is the lemonade detox a highly risky way of losing weight in itself, agave syrup, processed or not, have lots of negative reviews online.
Why? Because agave have more sugar than maple syrup, therefore, it is high in fructose which can wreak havoc on your body system. To know more about agave syrup, google ‘Side effect of unprocessed agave syrup’

My post wasn’t written to discredit Mrs. Ife in anyway instead it was written with the following adage in mind ‘ignorance is darkness’. Some of my clients have been asking about this product and I tell them, if you can afford it, go for it. Being slim and trendy should not come at a life threatening price so it’s important to keep your eyes open because with this, you have nobody but yourself to blame for taking the risk.
