White Tea




White tea is harvested from the bud of the same plant as the green tea and Oolong tea, Camellia Sinensis. It is lightly oxidized and like most teas, is grown in China and other countries in the Asian continent. Since it is also form the same plant as green and black tea, it has the same health benefits as them ranging from cancer prevention, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, protects the heart, gives stronger bones and healthy teeth though white tea contains the most antioxidants but this varies from
one product to another due to the different strain of the plant and also because of way it is picked and handled.

How White Tea Aids in Weight Loss
White tea for weight loss works quite as well as the other super teas. This is because it comes from the same plant but experts have said it’s even more potent because it contains more antioxidants due to its light processing.

Side Effects
White teas have less harmful metals or substances which can be gotten from the method by which it is processed. This is because, it is lightly processed. The only side effect comes from the caffeine but this is when taken in excess. White tea and green tea has the highest amount of caffeine when compared with oolong and black tea.

How is it taken?
Brew two teaspoon of the loosed leaf white tea per cup by pouring boiled water on it. You might decide to wash the leaves once or twice but that is up to you. Allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes to get the best out of its flavors. Two to three cups a day is best and avoid drinking right before bed because it contains caffeine which can keep you up all night.
